Title: Virtuemart (VM3) SEF issue
Post by: kathirsrs on April 13, 2015, 09:02:24 AM
I am using VM3 and Joomla 3.4.1

I have a different issue.

On enabling SEF(Joomla Default). The product listing page shows 500 Internal server error.
This error is only on server. Not on my local machine.

Folder permissions are correct. Which is 0755.

On Disabling SEF. everything works fine. Also disabling Virtuemart SEO, everything works fine.

Any Solution please?

That is usually a Joomla beginner problem, where the .htaccess file is not set up properly.  https://docs.joomla.org/Main_Page

Or you do not have the server configured correctly to allow rewriting urls

The same files is working in another server perfectly.

It is not working on that particular server.

HI,
1.DO you have changed or renamed the .htaccess ?
2.Is sef enabled in the server ?
3.each htaccess can have a specific setting from one to other server, contact your server support or see the server faq
4.If you run in a subfolder (mysite.com/subfolder) , you have to adapt your .htaccess
5.
QuoteFolder permissions are correct. Which is 0755.
Folder permissions have nothing to do with your 500 Internal server error
