Here in Holland we got iDeal which is a great payment method because anyone with a bankaccount can transfer money at no extra cost. iDeal works for all countries in Europe.
I currenly use Paypal, but the fees are high, service is terrible, security is a joke, and now that I can't download bankstatements from them any more (since they've changed the website) I am soooo totally done with paypal.
Is there an alternative for iDeal which works outside Europe?

can only agree - had 2 payments reclaimed recently (downloaded software - the client "claimed" they never downloaded it although I can see they have)
Paypal just informed me that there was a dispute .. I asked what proof they need - 2 days later they took the money out of my Paypal and repaid it to the dishonest AH's - didn't even notify me - only saw it later on the statements
As you say - a joke - but it appears it is the only joke we can use... :( - could relate some much worse tales from very large clients turning over 1000's thru paypal a month suddenly having their accounts locked - no access to funds etc etc
The rest tend to be even more expensive, more restricted by countries and people just don't recognise them so are reluctant to use them
jikes, that sounds bad. thanks for sharing.
Is Skrill any good? Can users pay with just any bank account, or only certain banks are connected? I can't find what fees they charge?
Would be great if there was just a payment method where a client can just pay with their own bankaccount, like iDeal, but then worldwide.

the holy grail but will never happen..
We are spoiled in the Benelux/DE/FR.. some EU states banks (e.g. Spain/Greece) still charge huge fees to the client just for a simple IBAN transfer
In the UK to txfr the smallest amount to my EU bank is a min charge of 9.50 pound
Pay.nl is a good pay provider
hmm - assume only for Netherlands?
Odd in this day to see a mono-lingual site.. even German and Belgian banks usually have + English on their online banking

looks pretty good. Will check that out.
Please reoprt back if this is only for Holland or not etc.. we are always looking for alternatives
