Post by: mgordon on April 01, 2015, 09:08:05 AM
Get an error
Warning: is_dir(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/customers/a/3/4/countryfisher.dk/vmfiles/) is not within the allowed path(s): (/customers/a/3/4/countryfisher.dk/httpd.www:/customers/a/3/4/countryfisher.dk/httpd.private:/customers/a/3/4/countryfisher.dk/tmp:/customers/countryfisher.dk/countryfisher.dk:/var/www/diagnostics:/usr/share/php) in /customers/a/3/4/countryfisher.dk/httpd.www/libraries/joomla/filesystem/folder.php on line 487
English (UK) English (en-GB)

I just upgraded my Joomla from 2.5 to 3.4.1 and VM from 2.0 to 3.0 My host provider does not provide any option for a safe path so I get an error message regarding this as well. Anyone out there with a Solution ??

Create a "safe" directory at whatever level your host permits. You can always call it something difficult to guess such as "vcdklkjgvd" instead of vmfiles.
