Title: Automated export of transactional data to csv
Post by: LarryB on March 07, 2015, 01:26:44 AM
Hi All, I am a software vendor that sells an ERP package by Arrow Research Corp called Tencia. We have been able to easily import transactional data from many shopping cart via plugins until now. I have spent the best part of 3hrs looking everywhere for a  product that will, after a sale has been recorded, export that data to a csv.

It can't be that hard can it? As I'm not a software developer I don't have those skills to do it myself. I looked at SAAS but it appears that they don't support virtuemart anymore (awaiting a reply from them).

Is there anyone out there that knows of a solution or someone that can assist in the solution.

Yours sincerely

Larry

Have done this for a few clients - e.g. they need an export (csv) for AusPost of transactions etc

Just use the confirm trigger to fire an export - I guess no one offers an extension because there is so many different specs possible for the export

where do you want it exported to?  just a local folder or a remote server etc?

Hi, thanks, that was a great and quick reply.
I can confirm for users of virtuemart that SAAS no longer support Virtuemart, due to lack of interest (their comment, not mine). So all the users out there hunting a SAAS solution, don't bother.

"We did have an integration with Virtuemart in our legacy service, however it's currently not available on our updated service.
We're considering bringing this integration back, however it is unfortunately not planned any time soon, as it was not a widely used or requested integration."

Thank you GJC for your useful advice. I will discuss this option between my development team and the client. We would want to a local folder.
We are in Melbourne, where are you based (not that it matters much). How can I contact you?
