I want to give users the ability to select the currency they want to use on my site but can't find a currency selector module to publish or any other way of doing it. Must I install an extension? From the virtue mart description in the extensions manager I gather there is native support for selecting currency in the shop. Is there? At this time I am working at localhost but if required I can upload site to a server and give access to someone who will be kind enough to offer help.
What I need can be seen in this page http://extensions.virtuemart.net/ where it says "change currency".
My system info is as follows
Database Version 5.6.17
PHP Version 5.5.12
Web Server Apache/2.4.9 (Win64) PHP/5.5.12
WebServer to PHP Intf apache2handler

Just publish the currencies module somewhere on your template. VM - Currencies Selector
Select which currencies to use in the module basic options.
YOu should be using VM3.0.4 by now.
extensions->module manager->new - vm currencies module
jenkinhill, you really are a hero. GJC Web Design, I will do contact you about an upcoming development project. Thank you both for your helpful replies.
The VM 3.0.0 version I installed through the extensions manager did not show any VM... modules in extensions->module manager->new! I downloaded com_virtuemart.3.0.4_extract_first.zip from http://virtuemart.net/downloads and followed the instructions in http://docs.virtuemart.net/tutorials/installation-migration-upgrade/80-installation-of-virtuemart-2.html to update my virtue mart.
Now when I go extensions->module manager->new, the VM Currency Selector module does show and other VM modules too. I published the module and it does the trick.
