Hi, I have Virtuemart version2.02 installed on a Joomla site. I added custom fields to a product with size and price variations. All prices up to $1,000 show up fine, but when I enter any number over $1,000 (with or without comma), while it keeps the number in the back-end, it shows up as $1 on the front-end of the site.
I hope you can help.
Thanks,
Kira

kbd44,
commas are translated to dots. The reason is that some other cultures use , instead of . as digit seperator. English speaking countries use the , as thousander seperator, so the system get mixed up. Just enter your number without comma and it will be displayed with comma in the frontend.
The display is correct. Just the input is a bit quickndirty, but it works.
Thank you both for your reply. I upgraded, following the instructions to Virtuemart version 2.614. While it said after uploading both zip files that the update was successful, and it looks new and updated in the back-end, the entire catalog has disappeared from the front-end of the website. I am running Joomla 2.5.27.
Any tips would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks,
Kira
and if you switch to the Beez template?
Dont panic!
anything cool. He has just the language problem. Go in your vm config and set as language "english"!. Even you run actually something else. Vm takes since vm2.0.16 or so a different language key.
ahh there is the old tutorial, just read here http://docs.virtuemart.net/faqs/38-troubleshooting/113-products-vanished.html
Thank you, Milbo! I went to the Virtuemart configuration, and saw that I could choose which template to use for Virtuemart. Once I selected the site template, the catalog showed up again in the front-end of the site.
Thanks!
Kira
