I'm loving VirtueMart! I have a question that I was unable to find the answer to. I saw it's been mentioned previously on the forums, and was said to be a feature of upcoming releases of VM.

I need to create a separate category that's only visible to logged in retailers. As well, that category needs to have no payment system, they just place their orders there and are followed up with manually for payments. Is this possible with VM??? Can you point me in the right direction if it is?

You can use VM to build your store that meet your requirement. The VM allow you enable/disable online payment, just do it via VM Payment Settings.

About private product categories for logged user, you just use menu item and link to VM product category, then with menu item in Joomla!, you can set it display only for 'Registered Users' under option 'Access' in details of menu item.

or use Shopper groups .. categories and payment methods - in your case just the Standard Payment can be assigned to Groups
