Title: getting "error 0 table categories not supported" error trying to access cart
Post by: guybr on January 09, 2015, 13:02:09 PM
Hi, I'm using VM 2.6.6, and have a valid SSL certificate and have SSL turned on for sensitive areas.

Yet when I add a product to the cart and then ask to "view cart" I get the "table categories not supported error". If I do a page refresh the page opens fine, but on any first-time attempt I get that error.

Any ideas why and how I can fix that?

I think that is a known J2.5 problem.

Ahhh - just found this, not sure if it applies here, though. I have never seen this error message:  https://docs.joomla.org/Fixing_the_assets_table

But just to confirm - this problem is not related to the SSL or VM cart?

Nobody else has ever reported that problem here. And a lot will be using SSL with VM. So I'd check out the possibility that it comes from Joomla itself.

BTW, Google recommends that websites should run completely under SSL. http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/https-as-ranking-signal.html

All of a sudden I face the same issue.
The first time I add an item to the cart and I click to show the cart I have the same ERROR

Any idea on how to solve it?!
NO SSL activate.
