Hello, I am new to using virtuemart and I need some help from the virtuemart community.
I have virtuemart version 2.9.9d on a joomla 3.3 installation. The problem that I am having is that the products are not showing up after I click on the main category or subcategory. In configuration I do have the "Category Layout" set to Categories, and that is because its the only way I can get the categories to show in small images and not oversize images.
Here is a link to one of the categories and it shows two sub categories but when you click on any of them, it doesnt show the products. (http://www.chicandcomfort.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=category&virtuemart_category_id=5&virtuemart_manufacturer_id=0&categorylayout=0&showcategory=1&showproducts=1&productsublayout=0&Itemid=127 (http://www.chicandcomfort.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=category&virtuemart_category_id=5&virtuemart_manufacturer_id=0&categorylayout=0&showcategory=1&showproducts=1&productsublayout=0&Itemid=127))
When you go to the store front, there you can see the products http://www.chicandcomfort.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=virtuemart&productsublayout=0&Itemid=122 (http://www.chicandcomfort.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=virtuemart&productsublayout=0&Itemid=122)
How can I get my products to show up with the current settings? Is there something in the configuration I need to change?
Thanks
You use the layout categories, which does not show products. Choose another layout.

Thank you for responding Milbo. I have changed the Category Layout to No Override and now the products display. The problem that I am having now is that my category images are showing really large. I realize that this might not be an issue with virtuemart, but I cant find a way to size them down. I would really appreciate any help in that matter.
Thank you
That is likely to be a problem with your template or css - use Firebug to indentify the cause. http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=116620.0

Thanks for the tip jenkinhill. I was able to locate the style to resize the category images. The problem now is that the categories are displaying vertically. What style can I adjust to change it so that it displays 4 categories per row? Thanks again.
Check the new options of vm3 in the joomla parameters. I mean, when you create a menu link to the view, then you can set there more parameters now.

I played around with the settings for the menu item that links to the category, but I am still not able to get the categories to show horizontaly. What specific parameter should I be looking for?
this is template issue
I figured. I will try another template. thanks.
