Hi
How to set Different payment methods for different products or product categories?
I want to sell some products using cache on delivery and other only with paypal or something else.
anything like payments by rules?
No reply but I'm looking for the same thing so:
* if you have found something let me know
* if you still need it we can develop it so let's get in touch :-)
I am also stuck in same situation
looking to disable some payment method for particular Category.
regards
Kashif
hello
For which payment method do you need that?
Hello
Thank
I need it for different combinations of payment methods and products and categories...
Basically I use cashe on delivery... which I use for 1) cashe on delivery and 2) bank transfer.
Some products are impossible to be buy ti because of their high price or other specific features, while for other products is more correct to pay on delivery.
Secondary I use paypal payments...
I want to give to my clients best price because I pay some products they will pay big commission to courier
I think such option will be useful for other users of virtuemart.
I have looked at this before but the problem is always when you have a mixed order/cart....
i.e. 1 product is COD, the other bank transfer - what happens? You can't have 2 payments at checkout...
Plus in your case you want a relatively simple split but others want say paypal and COD .. the various conflicting possibilities just don't make it feasible to develop an extension
Hello
Always we can have IF function... and set major rule.
If we have two or more products with different payments we cant set rule which payment will be use it. We can order the rules... what is most important rules when there are more then two products with different payment methods...
There is always a solution to a logical operation.
Best regards
of course rules can be coded etc.. but as is obvious it is now turning into quite a complex extension .. with I suspect a tiny customer base if someone tried to develop it as a commercial proposition.
therefore the lack of interest in development - this was my point
