We just upgraded our test area from 2.0.22a to 2.6.10 and all VM links give blank pages.
I've got reporting to maximum
I have nothing in the log directory, so nothing is showing up
SEF is turned off
PHP is 5.3
I followed the instructions to unzip the 2.6.10 file and install both main files.
Please advise.
Just test .. Change the template to a standard.

Exactly which PHP 5.3 version? Minimum for current VM versions is PHP 5.3.10 and recommended is PHP 5.4+
Enable vmdebug. See http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=121692
Our version is PHP 5.3.28
Tried changing default template to:
Beez2 - Parks Site & Beez2 Default templates...white screen for categories links.
Please advise.
Standard white screen debugging .. plenty of posts on here about it - basically look in the logs, set debugging on, reporting on full, ask the host etc etc
white screens are normally a fatal php error or you've run out of memory on the server
White screen for categories? Are you using old menu links to "categories" or to "category"?
Hi!
I just created a new menu item of type VM Categories Layout, and that's a white screen too.
As noted before:
Error Reporting is Max
SEF is turned off
PHP 5.3.28
Please advise...thank you!
The view "categories" is outdated. Please use the view "category"!
Hi Milbo!
Only menu item type options I have under VirtueMart are these, and I did the 2nd one:
VirtueMart Shopping Cart
VirtueMart Categories Layout
Category Layout
VirtueMart Manufacturer Default Layout
VirtueMart Manufacturer Details Layout
List Orders
VirtueMart Product Details Layout
VirtueMart Account Maintenance
User Edit Address Displays
vendor contact Displays
vendors Displays
vendor details
View vendor TOS
VirtueMart Front page
Which one are you referring to?
Thank you!

"VirtueMart Categories Layout" is obsolete
"Category Layout" should work
Just tried that...white screen again
Please advise
Turn on VM debug. There must be an error message if you have a WSOD.
"VirtueMart Categories Layout" is not a menu option now. The list from 2.6.10c is in the pic:

Hi everyone...well, I don't know what flag got flipped, but turning the VM debugging on got rid of the white screen.
All debugging is off now, and the site is working.
Resolution >> turn debugging in VM on, refresh page...all was good...turn debugging off...refresh page...links are good to go.
Thank you for your help!
Sounds like a cache problem at the end, not recognising the new menu link.
Or it is a single save of the VM admin - I'm sure I've seen this before myself
upgrade - all sorts of bollocks fire off - dead links, white screens -
Go into panic mode - check logs - turn on J debug and reporting - remember VM debug - switch it on - all comes right - switch it off - still alright..
Maybe a single save of the VM config is needed after a update from early versions?
On an other topic, I said I had the same problem.
Effectively, if you turn on VMdebug, then your frontpage come back... Turn it off, it doesn't matter, le site is still alive !
I tried before to clean the cach, but without any effect.
Notice that if you use VP Onepage checkout, like me, this great plugin replacing your cart don't work as it... You must also upgrade your plugin ($50+).
Last but not least, Paybox payent method cause some problems. I have old plugin which is working fine. The new one don't send mail to validate hmac secret key.
regards.
Hello
QuoteThe new one don't send mail to validate hmac secret key.
You have to request the HMAC key in the Paybox Back offcie. It is Paybox that will send you a link in an email to validate the key.

Blank screen means a fatal error.
Please turn the debug in VM also to 'administrator'.
If you can log in on the front end, do it.
and then the reason why you have a blank screen should be displayed.
You can also disable in the joomla plugin manager all payment plugins that you do not use.
