Title: There are no products in this category - How to remove?
Post by: erikdw on July 28, 2014, 22:24:10 PM
Hi All.

I have been having trouble hiding the Message "There are no products in this category." when going into categories which have Child Categories with Products in them. The parent category may have no products but the Child / Sub Categories have products. How can I remove this message as this will confuse a user when visiting the page and not clicking through to the child / sub categories...

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

VM 2.0.26d
Joomla 2.5.17
PHP 5.3.28
Using template overrides (Template "Reviver - Responsive Multipurpose VirtueMart Theme" from Themeforest.com)
Site currently under development so sorry no public access yet.

Thanks!

Template override http://docs.virtuemart.net/tutorials/templating-layouts.html

and/or language overrides => joomla language tab, overrides, just search for the Text and replace it with nothing.

Thanks Milbo!

I was looking all over for this solution, for some reason VM says there are no products in this category even thought there are products in a sub category. This should be a setting you could easily change in the store setup... Just a suggestion.

But your solution is good enough for me.   :)
