Is there anyway to change the default unit of measure so that every time you enter a product on the product dimensions and weights tab that it will automatically default to inches instead of Metres for product length/width & height. On the weight we'd like it to default to pounds instead of Kilogramme's.

VM2.6.6: Configuration/Shopfront/Default Weight Unit
I am using Virtuemart 2.6.6 & Joomla 2.5.14
On the Configuration page I do have the default as inches and pounds, but when a new product is added they have to change it from Metres and kilogramme to inches & pounds. Just trying to eliminate a step if possible.
Any other thoughts?
Any ideas what else I can try to get this to work? I have the settings in configuration set up properly.
