That is coming from Joomla - the string you should see is "The CAPTCHA solution was incorrect." so maybe you have a language file issue.
If you are saying you want to turn recaptcha off then in VM deselct "Use ReCaptcha for Registration" in Configuration/Shop
And in Joomla disable the Captcha - ReCaptcha plugin.

But in create account I have problem to confirm capcha giving error.
If active capcha in the store and joomla the capcha box is not visble.
I installed ECC + easycalccheckplus_v2.5-8 this if visible but still gives error joomla capcha, as if you were active but not visible
