Does phpShop have a feature to sell downloadable files (e-books, music, videos, etc.)?

Yes,

you can set products to be "downloadable" and then enter a filename. A customer gets a download ID when having paid. With this download ID he/she can download the file at the "download area".

thanks for the info.

I'm debating whether to use oscommerce or phpshop.

Do have any comments or suggestions of why to use one or the other?
