Hi all,
Joomla 2.5.22 and VM 2.6.6
I have a problem with the comments on the page of each product.
If I disable comments all works OK.
If I enable the option to comment to all registered users, everything works OK.
If I enable the option to comment only to purchasers of a product, then an error occurs.
From this point, if the user has not logged in and the product has no reviews, nothing happens.
If the user is not logged and the product contains comments, the system allows the user to comment.
Any idea?
Thanks!!
If the site is cuidadicos.es (I got that from a previous post - you neglected to mention it this time), then you should look at your template overrides. You may need to consult your Joomla template supplier.
or use this fantastic extension... ;D http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=123514.msg422898#msg422898 ;)
Hi Jenkinhill,
Thanks for your response.
Exactly, we have a template override.
I was renamed the folder /templates/mytemplate/html/com_virtuemart for to disable overriding but the same problem happens. So the problem it not the template override, right?
At this time we are set "allow for all registered users" to prevent this issue and all work ok, but this is not the desired situation.
NOTE: Thanks GJC. I will try your extension like complement to standar rating system, but with this post i like to solve this issue for all users that are using standar rating system ;)
I cannot duplicate this issue using VM2.6.6 J2.5.22 with VM default templates. The "Add a review" option does not appear on products which already have a review when a shopper is not logged in. When they log in the add review shows - only on those products they have previously ordered.
What setting do you have for Order status Review/Rating under Shopper Review/Rating System in Config/Shopfront?
Settiings are the same: only on those products they have previously ordered.
:(
I will try with a clean installation but this is very strange... Right?
