Hi!

Is there a tool to do this? I searched without any luck...

I have ~3400 items and do it manually is a pain!

Maybe with CSVI?

custom fields are completely differnet in VM2  I am not sure of a tool to migrate them

The Daycounts migrator is supposedly able to migrate product types. I have not tested that function, though.  http://extensions.virtuemart.net/import-export/virtuemart-migrator-detail
