Title: upgrade to VirtueMart crapped my site... HELP! Cannot add to cart & empty cart

hello.

Joomla Version: 2.5.14
Virtuemart: 2.6.0a

I currently upgraded VirtueMart due to security issues.  I upgraded to version 2.6.0a uploading...

com_virtuemart.2.6.0a.zip
com_virtuemart.2.6.0a_ext_aio.zip

If you click any product it wont ad to cart and my cart is empty.  I am a total N00b and would like to ask for your help and see how can I rectify this.  I can always go back using akeeba backup but it defeats the purpose of upgrading.

Any guides from the experts?  thanks in advance

adds fine from here and is in cart when I go there
the site has layout problems but that is your template.. not VM

ask joomlart  - it is their template..
