Title: joomla ebay template responsiv
Post by: pina on May 18, 2014, 03:38:21 AM
Hello virtuemarkt users,

I have found a joomla ebay vm template.
The template seems verry cool.
I have done some research, and i have heard that the template is not responsive.

Is there a new version or update, tool etc etc to make the template responsive?

Is there a solution for this problem?

Does anyone know a other template like the ebay template( i want to built a webshop.)

i wish all of you a nice day.

There are several responsive Joomla/VM templates listed in http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?board=135.0 and on http://extensions.virtuemart.net/vm-templates

I have no idea what "ebay" template you are talking about.

It's a Joomla template so basically is a Joomla question. To make it responsive you must rebuild the template from scratch using bootstrap or your preferred framework. Some hints here http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?t=733804

Or get the template developer to rebuild it for you if you have no coding skills.

Just a note

You do NOT need bootstrap to make a template "responsive"

I know that, and I don't use it for most of my client sites' responsive templates, but it is the most documented way of preparing a responsive template and is used in Protostar and Beez3, the default Joomla 3.4 templates.

 ;D

I know you know that.

It is just that many people will believe they will get responsive capability in VM without some real effort just by loading a Bootstrap (other frameworks are available, lol)

As a result they will need to understand CSS and bootstrap in order to sort out their particular requirements regarding look and feel.
