I'm using Joomla! 2.5.7, PHP 5.4.3 and 2.0.12b VM.
When creating a menu item to display VM categories, they are displayed in the "Category Layout" module. I want to change this module with another, so that when creating the menu item, the categories are displayed in a different set default "Category Layout" module. I can not give the procedure to do this.

Firstly your VM and Joomla are badly out of date
If you want a different view for a category (they are not modules - they are views or templates) make a new template over ride for the category you want (well documented on the forum) then choose this in your category management in VM admin
Has nothing to do with menus
