Our Joomla website continues to function ok (2.5.17)
I have just processed the Virtuemart update which all appeared to process ok.
However, When I click to the 'online shop' I simply get a white screen.
Where do I start!?
You updated using Joomla's extentions installer? From which version? What error is listed in the server error log? http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=121692.0
I had the same problem.
1) Make a new Virtuemart frontpage menu link.
2) Click in the site on the old Virtuemart frontpage (home) link.
3) The page should become visible.
4) Delete the new Virtuemart Frontpage link you just made.
I have the same blank storefront problem but the solution above doesn't work for me - both menu links lead to a blank page. I recently upgraded to php 5.3 and since then I guess that page has been blank.
I upgraded to the latest VM version via the page with the specs and then separately with the zip file
Which 5.3 version? Minimum requirement is 5.3.10 and recommended in 5.4+
What error shows in server log?
If I go to the Joomla "system information" it says php 5.3.24
Where do I see the server log?
Log file is often stored on the server below html root. White screen can be the result of a 500 error - see http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=121692.0
Or something wrong with the menu item configuration or SEF
The wierd thing is, i see the other VM customer-end pages fine...
Ok, So I went click happy and upgraded to Virtuemart 2.6.0 from 2.0.24 before reading the php5.3.10 requirement. Now getting a blank screen on my start page and "vmError: VmTableData Sef Alias in record is missing! Can't save the record with no Sef Alias."
I cant upgrade my php version, can I roll back virtuemart to 2.0.24?
Help!!
