I would like to create a custom field that allows the shopper to either type in the 5 products they want in an empty, editable textarea or I need a list were they can select multiple items. This needs to be a cart varient. I have a list of products and the customer has to choose 5...any ideas on how to make something like this work?

I'm pretty sure this isn't possible using the initial setup.

Granted it is not designed for what you want; but, maybe the functionality it will give you could give you a workaround to what you want to achieve - in theory by adding in 5 separate ones of these.
