Title: Why do you need to save the shipping option

Hi All
I am trying to track down why notifications wont load to the user on my checkout.

Can I ask what is the point in having to save the shipping method button?

If that button was taken out and the radio button as what the user wanted - without clicking the save shipping button - the cart would be far easier to use, and I wouldn't be losing 3 out of every 4 orders right now due to no notification setting being passed back to the user and there wouldn't be a loop, and if no details are selected and the user just clicks: Check out now?

It just seems to be adding a lot of confusion and unnecessary confusion?

Does anybody know if it can be removed?

Hello,

Did you ever solve this question? I want to remove it too. I know how to remove it comletely but then if someone hits order without first picking one of the methods they will be presented with a pick method screen but no way of savining it and returning to the manin cart except cancel. But taht would defeat the purpose.

is removed, can be enabled with an hidden config.
