It seems that my VM installation become corrupted after several migrations and upgrades... coming from joomla 1.5 1.7 and now in 2.5
Question is:
Could you tell me how to "reset" the installation considering the site is in production with data inside?
Do you have some export -import procedure that can allow me "start from the beginning" but without lost the data?
I can imagine that my case is not the first one.

In fact it is the first one who asked before. What you want todo is usually not necessary. If there is a real probem, then it is in the database and you would keep it.
Try the update button in tools. It should update your database correctly. I just would install vm2.0.26D again and then post here my trouble with it.
