Hi,
does one of you use VM2 with Google Merchant Center. We have uploaded a product feed however receive the info the google bot would not be able to crawl the product images. We have deleted "Disallow: /images/" from our robots.txt. After this move google was able to crawl 9 products and for all other products it still says that product images can not be crawled. And we have waited for over two weeks now.
Google support always tells us the same that we have to add the following to robots.txt:
User-Agent: Googlebot
Disallow:
User-agent: Googlebot-image
Disallow:
I however don't think its good if google ads all the rubbish to serach results.
Did one of you have the same problem and already found a solution. I wonder why some pictures are crawled and others are not.
