My client has requested that in the cart area must have the checkout steps at the top so that they are permanently there and will highlight when the process is on a that "page". I have seen this
on some websites shopping carts but have no idea if it is possible with VM2?

So while just about everyone else is moving to a single page checkout system your client wants the old steps system? Try enabling "Show checkout steps " in Configuration/Checkout I'm not sure if it is fully implemented but the basics should be there for further development using template overrides.

I must have the most difficult clients in the world butthem being engineers i suppose its my fault. :)
I have done as you instructed and see the steps at the top of the page, thanks for that. Would be
wonderful to have all the steps display permanently but i will try get away with or convince them otherwise.

Had 3 so far that I upgraded to VM2 and they threw their toys out of the pram big time because they wanted their step by step checkout and their customers would never accept this and they would ..... blah blah blah.... :)
Might be an opportunity here for a retro cart plugin in.. ;)
I think people are starting to take notice of what steps they must take to spend their money GJC Web design, a plugin like that would be really good right now as i have no idea how to keep the steps at the top.... :o
