I'm running VM 2.0.24b on Joomla 2.5.16.
I'm having trouble with new visitors creating accounts. The client want user to be able to create an account if they choose before shopping. So I created a link to
VirtueMart ยป Account Maintenance
When a visitor clicks this from the main menu they are prompted to register using the VM registration. Every user that completes this registration is NOT created. They get a screen with a user name and password that say you have to login first. Their log in does work and looking in the joomla user manager their user account does not exist.
How can I get the VM registration to create accounts properly?
Work Around:
I had to create a link to the Joomla registration form. This creates an account and allows the user to login. When they shop and check out they are prompted to complete the necessary information for shipping and billing.
I was hoping they could do it like the VM registration form in one shot when creating the account.
