Scenario.
A certain product has multiple color choices. This is done with multiple custom fields.
The first field is only saying: Please choose below. (I don't want any default choice - I'd rather have to mail and ask the shopper than sending the wrong product to her/him, just because they forget to choose.)
So, of course what I want, is to force the choice, if the shopper forgets.
Is it possible or will it perhaps be possible in the future?

Making custom fields required is not possible in native VM2. There are several 3rd party extension solutions for this in Joomla 2.5 and VM2, however, so it can be done with some extra work. Also, I hear that the new VM 2.1 on Joomla 3 has a much improved custom fields feature set, including being able to make them required selections.
