Hi, i am designing a music store. I would like to offer in the product detail page a drop down offering either hardcopy or download purchase.
At the moment, I can't get my head round how to do this.
I have created the custom field, one for CD stockable varient (with only the cd as an option), another for MP3 with plugin Istraxx virtual shipping.
When creating the child products, I chose one with the stockable varient and the other with the download varient.
I end up with a drop down with just the CD in it and below that just the MP3 download but you can't select one or the other.
What i really want is below the product description a title of format and a drop down selector list where you can choose between CD and MP3, with different prices allocated for both and obviously the CD with stock levels and MP3 without.
Do you know of a clear way of achieving this?

Create a custom field of type "Cart Variant"
Set the values you want to be available in the "default" field
Then go to your products add this custom field and select the values you want for each specific product
