I haven't talked about our VMVendor extensions here and I think it could be interesting for some of you.
VMVendor is a Joomla2.5 component with plugins and modules that extends the power of Virtuemart2's Administrated multivendor feature to allow every members of your site to become vendor and start selling own items throught the main Virtuemart catalogue. Each vendor gets own public vendor profile with own products and shop info, own vendor dashboard with sells, product reviews management, taxes etc... The suite can integrate with CB and Jomsocial profiles (JS activity stream too for product additions/editions, vendor profile updates and even sells)
Product addition form is very flexible , it supports unlimited images and fields VM custom fields and integrates some customfields plugins like VM2Tags , VM2Geolocator , Istraxx shipment for digital goods etc...
VMVendor just got updated to 1.3 and some of its layout got redesigned based on Bootstrap

VMVendor updated to 1.3.8
We just updated VMVendor and each vendor profile now has an ajax (star based) rating system that can be limited to vendor customers only or not.
Rating can then sho in the vendor module and can sort vendors also according to their rating.

Version 1.3.9 now introduces a special resample feature (only for mp3 products).
When enabled, If vendor adds a mp3 file, the file will be added to the forsale folder but a 30seconds sample will be placed in the public folder so it can provide a downloadable/playable 30seconds preview of the full file (30s or any length).

Just wanted to share this exciting news. We're now rewriting part of VMVendor to make it ready for Joomal 3 so every VMVendor sites will be able to move to Joomla 3 as soon as Virtuemart will be ready for J3.

Sorry there is no demo platform for VMV backend.

We just added to the VMVendor package, a beta version for VMVendor 1.5 wich is compatible with VM2.9+ and Joomla 3.
It also introduces new features like vendor plans allowing to attribute various options to vendor groups, such as comission, number of images allowed, autopublishing etc...
