ok I have read the installation instructions and the tutorial, however for some reason I cannot get it to install.
I have installed joomla in a dir off root called joomla
and I go to the extension manager and try installing the first zip that came from the original zip file
and I always get
Warning
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file
any help would be greatly appreciated. I am looking at this shopping cart to compare with what i am currently using so this way I can set them both up in different dir and see which one I like beter

Thank you, and sorry for not mentioning version numbers, I used quick install from HostGator to install Joomla 3.0.3 and I have tried ti install the following versions of Virutemart com_virtuemart.2.0.24.tar and com_virtuemart.2.0.22e.tar both have the same error messages cannot find install when I upload them

Those files are for Joomla 2.5 The Joomla 3 version of VM is in development.
