Title: Shopper Group reverting to default

Virtuemart 2.0.24
Joomla! 2.5.11

I change the user's shopper group in contol panel>shoppers to lets say : "Special Shopper" group
Click save
Message User data saved successfully
Click save and close
User data shows shopper group default

I have disabled the shop so please if someone could assist I would appreciate it,

Works just fine for me. Are you superadmin/vendor?  Do you have Joomla cache on? Cleared browser cache?
