Title: Field for Purchase Order number

Hi All,
I have searched and searched but I cannot seem to find a way of inserting a purchase order number field into the checkout. Would someone be able to let me know if I am missing something here. I struggle to believe that such a feature would have been left out. I would prefer not to edit the code and also to not just change the language of the notes field is possible.

Thanks for the reply. I would prefer, if at all possible, to keep the order number and the purchase order number seperate. The PO is essentially a method of payment (as the PO is essentially the authorisation to be invoiced for the goods). It is just a Customer's reference, as opposed to the shop's reference.
