Title: Assign different shipping methods to different products
Post by: maspegren on October 04, 2013, 17:22:39 PM
I have a UPS shipping module that I need to apply to products 1, 2, and 3 (or categories A and B). Then I need free shipping applied to products 4, 5, and 6 (or category C). I tried creating a Free shipping method for products with weight over 1000 and set products 4, 5, and 6 weights to 1001 and I get the two options coming up for shipping when purchasing product 4. The UPS option shouldn't even come up. Then when I have a cart with products 1 and 4, it only charges free shipping. I need product 1 to charge UPS rates and product 4 to have free shipping. Does anyone know of an extension to allow me to assign different shipping methods to different products or categories? Or some other crazy work around for this? The site is waiting to go live simply because of this issue  :(

Did you find a solution for this?
Check 3rd party forum.

I have, I can't seem to find anything out there to allow this. I wasn't sure if someone else found something or if there was a work around that would be sufficient.

Did you ask all developers that made stuff for shipment?

Does anyone know of an extension that can do this?  I need some product to ship USPS and some to ship UPS.  It would be nice to be able to assign the preferred shipping method for each product.
