Title: Not Getting Emails
Post by: CreativeDesigns on September 10, 2013, 17:57:55 PM
Hi there,

My client claims that she is not receiving the email orders when someone places an order on her shop.
I have got her email address listed under Shop > Shopper Information

Is there somewhere else where I need to be looking?

Usually due to antispam configuration on shared servers. Check settings for "Use the vendor email address" in Config/Shop and for "Default Order Status to send email to vendor " in Config/Checkout  (VM2.0.22d)

Thanks for this Kelvyn,

I tried this, and she's still not getting the mails :(
Any idea what else we can try?

I assume that registration emails are being sent out by Joomla OK and that she is using a real amil address, not hotmail or similar? Check her own antispam settings, maybe try using a different Joomla mailer, eg switch to SMTP.

I did fix a no mail issue for a site by moving it to a different host, so I do tend to be suspicious of server antispam controls. There was a fix added into VM around 2.0.20 to oversome this problem for some hosts, though.

Sooooooo, turns out the client was looking at the wrong email address (*face slap*)

I'm so sorry to have messed you around. Thank you for your help!
