This question was previously asked elsewhere but not answered anywhere I could find so apologies in advance if I haven't looked in the right forums.
I need to bulk associate over 7,000 products into multiple categories but I'm finding that everytime I use the bulk associate categories option it removes the previous categories related to the product. Is there any way to overcome this and ensure that the existing categories remain? This is a huge timesaver if I can get it to work, otherwise the changes will need to be done manually and that will be incredibly painful.

It is possible to move product to correct category using the application called Store Manager for VirtueMart.

The application has option "Assign categories" and you can add product to certain category or change it and assign products to some other category (one or many).
