Title: 3rd Party Plugin Shortcodes not Running
Post by: Ninjab on August 10, 2013, 17:34:29 PM
Hi there,

I am trying to use both Yootheme's widgetkit plugin and Contact enhanced content plugin in virtuemart that use shortcodes to trigger, however both do not trigger on the website. They work fine in K2 and other articles etc but in VM they will not work unfortunately.

I have tried turning off the Jquery and javascripts in VM config and tried using Jquery Easy plugin to control it but still no luck.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Did you turned on VM option for content plugins?

Is this an option that is within Virtuemart backend?

Can you please tell me where it is as I looked over all options and could not find it in configuration.

Thanks.

There is an option in the 1st tab of VM configuration - "Enable Joomla Plugin". You could read in tooltip of this option some words about content plugins.

Sorry I have an issue with this now. The plugins only seem to run in the 'Product Description'. I need the plugins to be able to be triggered in other fields as I am using Widgetkit image slideshow to replace the built in VM image gallery etc. The Enable Joomla plugin option seems to only work in the product description only.

Is it possible to edit or make it work in other fields? Thanks.

What your plugins need to be triggered?

As far as I know only custom Joomla system plugins could be triggered with easiness.

It's a bit late to say this, but why you didn't search on forum widgetkit?

Hi but that has nothing to do with what I am trying to do unfortunately.  Some relation but not really. Or at least my understanding of it anyway as I do not know PHP.

Do you or anyone know how to get Yootheme's Widhetkit slideshow galleries to trigger in fields other than the product description? I am trying to replace VM's image gallery with their Slideshow instead. Thanks.
<?php // Product Main Image
<?php // Showing The Additional Images

I'm talking about VM images, not about VM description. Do you still want to have VM images with the widgekit or not?

Widgetkits images are loaded from directories, not from VM's images. It is a lot easier to manage images. However, it is possible to set widget kit up to grab the images from a directory that VM also uses.

Thanks.

So what of these two options do you want to use?
