Hi,
I'm going to set up a new Virtuemart 2 store with two languages, and I need to display different products for each language.
Is this possible in Virtuemart, or would I have to create to separate Joomla sites?
Any help/suggestion is much appreciated.
I would make 2 sites. That will save time in development & maintenance and give fewer headaches with upgrades.
Thank you for the info, your probably right about the headaches. But still, my client wanted the store developed in only one Joomla installation... It's coming together almost as expected, but I'm having issues with displaying the correct currency symbol. The products are different for each language (Chinese and Norwegian), but the currency symbol is not updated when changing language, unless I use the currency selector module. Am I missing something, or is this impossible in Virtuemart 2?
Thanks.

Why? What reasons?
If you have 2 products
2 languages chosen
1 default language
1st Product: Fill in the 1st Language (the description)
2nd Product: Fill in the 2nd language (the description)
ONLY the default language 1 will show UNTIL they choose their language.
SO:
If you do not want ANY products to show until someone goes to your site.
You can.
Create a slash page/ redirect making them choose their language.
OR:
Set 3 languages.
1 being default, that you NEVER fill in the product description
This setting can apply as well for shipping?
