Hello,
Installing VM 2.0.22 onto Joomla 2.5.11 PHP5.2.6
I unzipped the 'big' zip file, to get to two .tar.gz folders.
Using the Joomla Installer, I set the first one going... and the screen went blank after a while.
I got back in Administrator no trouble, and uploaded the second folder which went without a hitch, and the successful installation notice came up.
However.... I cannot access the dashboard: The relevant item on the Components list reads 'virtuemart-aio' and when clicked takes me to this message:
'You already have the latest version
Installed version 2.0.22
Latest version 2.0.22
Latest release date 2013-07-09

I have tried uploading the first folder again but again got the blank screen
I also tried the 'ordinary' zip files, but with the first one just got an 'Unable to open archive' message
Can anyone offer any ideas how to get round this please?
Your PHP version is too old, 5.3+ is recommended. But you obviously had a failed install of the main VM component. Make sure you have enough server resources, eg see http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=102045.msg339125#msg339125
