Title: Problem with SEF ALIAS

Hi Guys,

I'm new to virtuemart and I have a question. I hope somebody can help me??
When I fill in the sef alias virtuemart creates a sort of date/time stamp (link.nl/autoverhuur/aanbiedingen/autoverhuur-almere2013-06-15-13-23-32).
The URL needs to be (link.nl/autoverhuur/aanbiedingen/autoverhuur-almere). I think it has to do with duplicate sef aliases but maybe I'm wrong.

Does somebody know what i'm talking about? Help is appreciated very much!

yes, the timestamp comes in case of duplicated alias

Thanks, it's clear to me. Do I need to install virtuemart again, because i want to use some words in another way and they are already used now?
Or can is delete everything and start over?

go to configuration and enable "Enable database Update tools"

then go to Tools -> Tools & Migration

choose "Reset all tables and do a fresh install

in this case you will reset virtuemart

Alain,
you can enter into the alias whatever you want. If you see an alias with a date added, you know, that there is a problem with another alias (duplicate). You can edit the alias of that duplicate with added date to something else in the backend. You do not need to reinstall something, just edit the alias.
