Custom fields do not update on the item automatically after making changes in the back...

issue not from vm but from the plugin...

When you make changes in BE and then you just do nothing and look at the FE, always nothing will happen, because joomla is not a REST API. Johan johannsen got standing ovations on jab13 as he demonstrated this explaining nooku.
