Title: How featured products works?

Hello
In virtuemart there is a check box that says featured. When I click on it I don't see anything changes in products. Isn't there somthing to show that this is a fetured product? Maybe a ribbon or a text?

Featured products show in the VirtueMart Products module when that module is set to show featured products. The modules can be placed wherever you like in your Joomla template or shown on the shop front page if selected in Configuration/templates.

So the featured option only works in the featured module. Is there a way to put a text or a ribbon in image in a php or in css file.
