Title: Can You Have More Than One Category Layout Within One Joomla Template?
Post by: Marga123 on May 23, 2013, 17:45:12 PM
Hi
Can you have more than one
category layout to choose from the same joomla template?

I'm making in the

html/com_virtuemart/category

a one category column layout

but I also want to add a

three category column layout
to choose from too

Is this possible of or do I have
to make two different joomla templates?

Many Thanks for your time
and help

Best Regards
Charles

Yes, just use your edited default.php files as template overrides with different names and select them for each category. For the use of overrides see http://docs.virtuemart.net/tutorials/33-templating-layouts.html and http://www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/overrides

You can also set Default Number of Products per Row for each category.
