good day all

how do you change the currency when placing an order?
i have South African Rands (R) every where, but when i place an order, it still shows me Dollars ($)
how do i change, please help

If you only deal in Rands go to Confoguration / Currencies. Srt the page to display 400 entries, select all and then hit Unpublish. The locate only the SA Rand and pubish that currency.
Then on the Shop/Vendor tab make sure that Currency: is set to South African rand and that the list of accepted currencies also shows just South African rand

That should be all you need to do.

i am using virtuemart 2.0.20b.

i did the above steps and it still shows dollars ($) when i want to order a product it shows dollar ($)
and i want rands (R) to show instead.

In the Product editor is SA rand shown in the currency selector for Product pricing?

In Config/Currency is the correct symbol shown when you open South African rand for editing (default is R)?

If that does not fix it is the currency symbol hard coded in some way in your Joomla template?
