Please can someone tell me if VM2 works with Joomla 3?
And if so, how can I install it into a clean install of Joomla 3.

The first thing I did was a forum search. I tried a few combinations of VM and Joomla V3
and didn't find your posts. I guess I should have tried as many combinations of
VM/VirtueMart/V/Version/Joomla/J3/JV3 etc - but you could also improve the search with
synonyms and alias?
Maybe pinning this clearly on the forum would have helped?
Joomla 3 is out now and waiting for version 3 (March 2014) to get your plugin to work with it is just too
late for us. We will be changing to another tool.

With each current release of J3 only being supported for 6 months and with core code changes with each "update" the platform is not sufficiently stable (eg adding tags to J3.1) to port an enormous component like VirtueMart. Unless someone would like to volunteer a hundred or so hours of programming & testing time. Another issue is that the large number of third party plugins available for J2.5/VM2 will have to be recoded for J3.
