By default, the email sent by the 'Ask a question about this product' is issued from the store owner and sets the reply-to address with the customer email.
When using gmail web client to answer this email, the reply-to email is ignored

Do you think it would be a better idea to send the email from customer's email instead? Do you see any flip-side like spam box filtering ?
I am looking for the same answer. In the old Vm I could just look at my email client and see the names of people who sent me questions, now I can't. Vert frustrating.
Send a note to google and see if they will make Gmail compliant with pop3 and IMAP protocols
I am sure they will be receptive ;D
