Title: Joomfish migration from joomla 1.5 to Joomla2.5
Post by: Nagaraj on May 08, 2013, 12:59:37 PM
Hi I had used joomfish to translate virutemart products, categories and joomla articles in joomla 1.5, Now I migrated my site to joomla 2.5. How to import the joomla 1.5  joomfish data into joomla 2.5 joomfish. Can I import virtuemart data using Josetta or csv improved?

Thanks in advance

I don't know if the new joomfish is working with VirtueMart 2.0.x. I never tried, because VM2 has it's own translation system. All multilanguage VM2 shops I've seen so far (including my own) don't use Joomfish, but instead use the Joomla 2.5/VM2 native translation features, which are working very well. Also, some time next year you would have the same problem again - will Joomfish work with i.e. Joomla 3.5.x/VM2.2.x? I don't know a shop using Josetta either.

Concering using CSVI for the transfer of translation, I would suggest to ask in the CSVI forum.
How many product translations do you have to move?
