Hello,
I know there are some topics asking for a similar question but there has never been an answer.
I want to use the category modul to display at all pages. It has a windows 8 look and feel. Huge pictures all over.
I know I could design a new module displaying some articles next to the category modul but I want tu use it all over the page.
Is there any solution to link a category to a spezific joomla article?
I used google but the results are really bad. Some topics from this forum but no answers. Perhapes anyone can give me a hint?
what do you mean?
Sorry if my description was not good.
I want to modify an existing category not to open the category itself. It should open a joomla article.
I have build a produkt-configurator. I can open it using the main-menue but want to open it via the category modul.

why not just create a module for this instead of using the category module?
because the category modul already has the right template, shure I could add some extra content for doing that, but why use the existing modules? Redirecting the category would be awsome, perhapes you have got an idea?
Solved the "problem" by myself.
For anybody who wants to link a category to a specific joomla artice just create an entry in your joomla menu. Name the menu alias same to the vm-category SEF alias and the category shows up the article.
