Title: separate VirtueMart template
Post by: hz01 on April 17, 2013, 13:51:48 PM
I read this: http://docs.virtuemart.net/manual/21-configuration-menu/62-configuration.html#templates (http://docs.virtuemart.net/manual/21-configuration-menu/62-configuration.html#templates)
"VirtueMart 2 automatically uses the Joomla template now, so there is no need for a separate VirtueMart template. You are not required to use the Joomla template, however! You can set a separate VirtueMart template here and specify how it looks."

It's don't work. I changed an other joomla template in the configuration of VMart2, and switch the "virtuemart CSS" on/off... unfortunately, does nothing changes. The virtuemart is using current user defined templates everything, regardless for the settings.

How can I optimize this problem?

You need to correctly assign the templates to the Joomla menu items. See http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=104113.msg346882#msg346882

Thanks for your help!
But...
When i follow this tutorial, all items (menubar, header, etc...) are changes.
I want an other theme only in the categories and products view (position-12), but i don't want changes the templates of all webpages.

You must also ensure that all modules are correctly assigned to menu items and to the correct template user positions.
