I kept getting this error on Category pages:
"The chosen template couldnt found on the filesystem:"
It happened when the Category Template setting was set to "Use Shop Default." That was easily fixed by specifying the actual template.
But now I see the error appears on the Search page. I have no back-end method of specifying a template for that page.
Can anyone suggest a cause and/or solution?
I should specify that I do have a Template Override active. I have used it to comment out the user accessible Sort Function.
Help appreciated :)

Hi Jenkinhill,
Thanks very much for this.
Just to confirm that I understood properly: I created a copy of my template, I assigned the template style of the copy to the Joomla menu heading that points to the VirtueMart Shop and then I changed the template in the shop configuration to point to the template copy.
Yay :)
Makes it a second slower to load the shop, flashing a blank white screen inbetween which can sometimes look a bit glitchy but seems to have worked.
Task cleanup:
* I'll have to go back to all the Product Categories now and change them back to the VirtueMart default.
* All the formatting changes for the shop that I added to the original template, I should probably delete and keep only in the VM specific copy now.
This should keep it neat for the future.
Thanks Again :)
